Dear esteemed parents, partners, students, and valued visitors, welcome to the Kimuvoti website, which provides information about the institution.
It is an honor and a privilege to welcome you to Kimuvoti. On behalf of our tireless team, our dedicated instructors, supportive staff, and hard-working students, I greatly extend my warm invitation to explore what makes our institution a special place for learning and growth.
Kisoro District is blessed with hard-working, goal-oriented, and resilient people, and our region is known for its beautiful scenery, such as volcanic mountains, hills, forests, and game parks, great cultures, and strong community spirit. so, it is on this foundation that Mr. Tumwizere Micheal who is currently the principal of kimuviti when he approached me with great passion and a clear vision of establishing a skilled based institution in Kisoro district, I greatly gave him receptive ears and acted positively towards implementing his ideas and supported the idea to have kimuvoti put in place.
This idea of introducing Kimuvoti has shaped many generations; it has equipped the youth with skills in tailoring, cosmetology, plumbering, ICT skills, building and construction skills, among others, and, for the community, it has gone further to support the people of Kisoro Municipality and beyond, with the required skills and knowledge to transform themselves. For example, the Institution has partnered with garages within Kisoro .
Municipality to enable the youth to gain mechanical skills, the institution has provided free installation and connectivity of power to the local Community by our electric engineering students, the same is on going to our plumbering students and also the building and construction students are carrying outreaches to ensure that skills are provided and also supportive aid is enhanced in the community, that is one way the institution is benefiting the community.
Kimuvoti is living up to the goal of His Excellency the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, of ensuring that our youth are involved in the money economy; that's why Kimuvoti is introducing skill-based programs that are generating job creators, not just job seekers.
Why does Kimuvoti matter? We live in a world that values skills more than ever before. A certificate is important, but what truly matters is what you can do with your hands and your mind. Vocational training is about learning by doing. It is about gaining the confidence to solve real problems, create real products, and deliver real services. It is about becoming self-reliant and employable from day one
At Kumoviti, we understand that not everyone learns best in a classroom. Some of us learn better when we are doing practical work, testing ideas, fixing machines, or cooking a meal. Some of us have talents that need practical space to grow. That is exactly what we offer—a place where your hands and your head work together to build a brighter future.
Komuviti is open to everyone. Whether you just completed primary or secondary school, or you are an adult looking to learn or upgrade your skills, we have a place for you. We welcome both young people and adults, men and women, from Kisoro and beyond. We are committed to gender equality and encourage women to join all our programs, including those traditionally dominated by men.
We keep things simple and practical. Our workshops are equipped with the tools you will actually use on the job. Our instructors are patient, approachable, and always ready to guide you step by step. We believe in learning at your own pace and encouraging you to ask questions, make mistakes, and try again.
We also emphasize discipline, time management, and professional behavior. These soft skills are just as important as technical skills. Employers want workers who are reliable, honest, and hardworking. We instill these values in every student who walks through our doors.
We know that many families in our community face financial challenges. That is why we strive to keep our fees affordable and offer flexible payment options. We also work with government programs and partners to support students who need financial assistance. We believe that no talented and determined person should be left behind because of money.
We are more than just a training center. We are a community. Our staff is always available to offer advice, encouragement, and support. We also provide career guidance to help you understand your options after training—whether that means finding a job, starting your own business, or continuing with further studies.
We also take safety and well-being seriously. Our campus is a safe and respectful space where everyone is treated with dignity. We have zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or any form of misconduct
Our Success is Our Success
At Kimvoti, our greatest joy is seeing our graduates succeed. Many of our former students now run their own businesses, work for reputable companies, or work as skilled professionals in our community and beyond. Their success stories are the reason we wake up every morning with energy and purpose.
We want you to be the next success story. Whether you dream of becoming a master builder, a top chef, a skilled electrician, or a successful farmer, we are here to help you turn that dream into reality.
A Final Word of Encouragement
To every young person reading this: do not underestimate the power of skills. In a world where jobs are becoming more competitive, your hands and your skills are your greatest assets. To every parent: investing in vocational training for your child is investing in their independence and future stability. It is a gift that keeps giving.
